Oh Happy Day!

We went to the playground today. Did some swinging, did some climbing, did some picknicking. Oh Happy Day!

....the sun was a little false advertising. Once I put down the blanket and we actually sat down and opened our lunch, we were freezing. It was a quick visit!

LOVE the way he looks at her. He kept reaching for her and giggling....they are so cute :)

Hello there mr.felix (with a runny nose). This picture is an exact match to Felix! Even I can see it!

She did this on her own. I promise!!!! After dinner I told her I was going to sweep- she ran and got her broom & dustpan and picked up everything from under the table. She said "this is hard, mama" as she squatted around under the table sweeping up Levi's dinner. Hahahaha, I know little one.....I know!

I remember being worried that I wouldn't be able to give Levi as much attention as I gave Emma when she was a baby. Mom told me, "you wont be able to, but he will get attention from his big sister, which is something Emma never had". And she was right.....

I missed the better part of her playing with him, but this is often how our nights go. Emma running around singing, Levi in spasms trying to keep up with her and letting out shrieks of joy. And she is quick to run over to him as I am squeezing him into his carseat, as he fights to sit with an arched back and screaming cries- she tells him everything is going to be OK and sings him a song, and more often than not- he stops crying, surrenders, and looks at her and smiles! She tells me "I can make him happy mommy"!
This afternoon after waking from naps, they played in her crib together for a while. And as I was busy putting away clothes in her closet, she kept giving him hugs and saying "I love you Levi Love. Awwwwww, I love you."
Perhaps she is just imitating me, but at least it is a good habit that she picked up. Recently, she has shown me a couple of my bad habits, such as..... looking at herself in the mirror from all directions after getting dressed or pointing her finger in Levi's face telling him "if you do it again, you go to time out. (waits 3 seconds). OK! Time out!" even with my same tone of voice. It sure is a wake up call for me! Hopefully she will continue to pick up the good stuff and I can eventually weed out the bad (for both of us)!
