Hmmmm......

*editor's note: Incase you can't sense the sarcasm in my post, I am removing the link included in the email so nobody clicks on it thinking it is real. I just wanted to share this on the blog because I couldn't believe how far this person went to create such an elaborate little scam! And of all things, choosing a breadmaker to reel people in...... I wonder what her target market was :)

I've been trying to make challah weekly with Emma for Shabbat. She even calls it "challah Friday". But to be honest, I'm just lazy and I really dislike kneading the dough. Steph suggested getting a bread machine.

So, knowing that I most likely will do this for a while and then it may fade, along with many of my other "passions" (middle school basketball, long rides on my road bike, scrapbooking....) to name a few, I responded to a post on craigs list for a free bread machine. Then I got an email saying it was originally taken, but the person ended up being a no-show so it was all mine. Shortly followed by this email:
Hey,

Im very VERY sorry.... the other person actually replied back again, it seems
her first message ended up in the spam folder and I must have missed it. I feel
like an idiot...

You know, if its any consolation, ive been using this online income system that
has been working really great and I can give you an invite to try it. It wasn't
open to new members for a while but they just opened it up again. Basically you
get paid for posting links to various places like forums and blogs. It is
sometimes a little boring, but I often just do it in the evening while I am
watching TV. The actual money has been great though, I usually work on it like
5-10 hours each week and I earned about $3,500 last month.

If you would like to try it just go to this site:
(removed link)

Just one thing, please don't tell too many people about this. They only have a
couple spots left and I would like to make sure some of my friends can try it as
well. Thanks, and sorry again for the misunderstanding.

Lucille

What a sweet gal looking out for my well-being :)

And MOM, don't worry, I always send Felix out to pick up these goodies from strangers!

Just found your blog from a google search. I got the exact same e-mail (nearly word-for-word) after I went on Craigslist and contacted someone giving away cat toys and supplies.

Definitely one of the bizzarer (is that a word?) e-mails I've gotten!
