Levi is at the point now that if he even SEES a tissue he starts flapping his arms and turning his head away so we won't try to wipe his sore little nose. Even smothered in vaseline, this little boy doesn't want anything near his nose.
LOVE the way he looks at his mommy :)
A photographer in the making. Little trooper has been sick since Monday, after just recently getting over a 10-day cold.
And this guy? Woke up with a high fever last Friday. Today is day 7 of the sickies, and still going strong. But, with all this time at home, he has almost mastered crawling!
Usually this is the point where his arms give way and he collapses onto the floor, resorting to an army crawl/rolling scoot until he makes it to his goal.
Being stuck in the house sick & miserable is no fun. The kids have actually been doing pretty well, fevers come & go along with the smiles & tears. Fortunately we have had a couple days without fevers that we ventured out on a few quick errands. Unfortunately, each time I think they are all better and it is safe to visit friends and get back into our routine- I kiss their little foreheads and feel the warm heat on my lips warning me that the fevers are back, shortly followed by the whining and tears.
This morning, both awoke happy as can be, semi-dry noses, and fever free. We went straight out to visit our friends for a playdate. Emma came home with a fever, and woke from her nap early crying of ear pain "my ear has sprinkles in it". I finally called the doc and we have an appointment to cure these two bright & early tomorrow morning.
Drugged up and ready to play. We've been keeping busy:
Painting......mommy learned not to keep the table too close to the wall when the water paints are out!
Monkey see, monkey do. Levi following her every move.
Playing puppets "hi, my name is elmo"
Our fun shopping trip to Target. Sadly enough, I had to rush out to the store to buy cleaning supplies because for the first time ever, we hired a cleaning lady to help clean the house, and I realized I had no supplies. Unfortunately, the floors still didn't shine, and the house didn't smell like lemons after all was said & done. To make matters worse, Levi vomited all over the floor that night, and Emma smooshed playdough into it this morning. I've decided to take on the cleaning myself, and light some lemon scented candles while I'm at it. We'll see how long this lasts.....
In the meantime, I LOVE the new shopping carts at Target- totally built for multiple children!
Look at how perfect! There are two seats side-by-side where Emma is sitting, and they face the single seat attached to the cart for the younger sibling. Built in entertainment for both kids. Love it. Although, Levi was about a mile away.
It was a wonderful shopping experience. Maybe because they were both sick and half out of it that they weren't complaining, or perhaps, because they were both playing with each other and Emma was having fun trying to make Levi laugh (before she decided to crush his legs by pushing her feet hard against his shins).
Loving her new outfit. She picked out the whole thing from her closet, right down to her shiny black shoes, and as she walked downstairs she said "I am so beautiful". That's my girl!!
Little Leev just doesn't seem to be loving Target as much as Emma & I do. Maybe because he doesn't get Starbucks or a cookie out of the deal like his mommy & big sis!
