5 Months!

Hello Happiness!

My big man is 5 months already! And he has the most amazing little personality. I think he might be a little mama's boy, and I am loving it.
Based on our home scale, this little guy weighs 17lbs already and is wearing size 6-9 month clothes.....closer to the 9 month. And he is happy. Boy is he happy!!!

He coos, and recently has started blowing raspberries in mid-air. Smiles the minute he sees me, Felix, or Emma. Reaches and grabs for anything that looks bright and textured, especially food. And he loves paper napkins. And Matti's tail and tongue.
We started feeding him baby food between his afternoon nap and pre-bedtime nap in hopes he might sleep better. He was not a big fan of the oatmeal but seems to really enjoy peaches. In fact, he was grunting if I wasn't paying enough attention to him to get the spoon to his mouth in time :)
And he is just perfect. All day, he is an absolute doll. He is my little buddy, we play on the floor and watch Emma while she creates games for all of us to play together. He loves his jumparoo and exersaucer. And strangely enough, he still loves sitting on the couch watching TV. Recently, he has been watching his fair share of football with Daddy. And as of now, if we don't get a morning nap in at home, he is still sleeping like a champ in his carseat if we are out and about in the morning, followed by a pretty decent afternoon nap in the crib.

We are still working on rolling over, and sitting up. Oh yeah- and sleeping through the night. Minor issue we have been having with this little love of ours! He has happily been going down to bed at 7pm, and then waking every 3 hours after that.
So, we started feeding him food to see if that helps. And put him in a real crib. Until 2 nights ago, he was sleeping in a pack n' play in his room. We were lucky enough to get a real crib for him from a friend of ours (Emma is still in her crib), and he seems to be doing much better. In fact, last night, he slept for 5 hours. FIVE HOURS! before waking to nurse, but went right back down for another 4 hours, and then slept a final 3 hours. Not bad little man, not bad at all! I was so excited he slept past his initial 3 hours that I couldn't even fall asleep since I was waiting for him to wake any minute!

Little smiles. I smother him with kisses all day. I love to hold him close to me and let him snuggle his head into my neck. And I love how he adores his big sister.
The other day during bath time, I sat back while the two of them were playing in the tub and just smiled at how wonderful our little family is. We are so lucky.

Little Levi love! You have brought so much happiness to our home and our happy little family.

It certainly took a while, but I think he is just the happiest little baby around! He is absolutely content with whatever is going on. I remember his little habit of non-stop crying and whining and needing to be held or nursing if awake. But look at him now! Such a happy little snuggle bug. I remember my main concern always being whether or not Levi would cooperate before making plans. But now, oh, my little love, he is just....well....perfect!
