We arrived at Samantha's house bright and early so we could head out to CT in one car. While the adults were switching around carseats and getting ready....the girls played "nicely". hahaha. Unfortunately, every time I mention Samantha, Emma says "hitting" and hits the air, and I always tell her to make nice.
Well, this morning I caught her in action! Emma is in love with Samantha's electric toy car, and when Samantha was trying to help her out of a jam..... Emma pushed her away. These two love each other, I don't know why she insists on hitting her!
They quickly cleared the air and became friends again by the time we hit the road! They are both dancing together in their carseats here.
We arrived at the aquarium and the first thing we saw was a huge Beluga Whale. So cool!
Emma was a little scared..... so Samantha was telling her everything was going to be OK.
.....but then when the whale swam a little too close, Emma took off for safety!
watching the fish swim outside
Yes. She IS my daughter. And I put on a brave face for this exhibit! Here is MY DAUGHTER petting a baby shark in the water. (I even let her hold my hand when she was done).
Her face was priceless, I am so glad I snapped a quick picture. She found A REAL LIVE NEMO swimming in the tank!
And then..... we arrived at this exhibit. And this one, I just couldn't help her with! Live crabs and starfish. She kept telling me to touch them, but there was no way! Thank goodness our friend Keri was there to help her with those creepy crabs!
Back to the whales.
And our final exhibit..... petting the stingrays. Look at that face! Samantha was a little hesitant to touch them herself, but was more than happy to help Emma touch them!
We had a great time today, and came home absolutely exhausted- but it was worth it!
