I wasn't 100% sure if she was going to be her normal cheery self, but this morning when I got her from the crib, she actually looked at me and sweetly said "hi" instead of throwing herself against the corner of the crib and crying.....so I figured we were off to a good start.
That didn't last long- as her very first tantrum was about 1 minute after since I made her brush her teeth before going downstairs- a morning task she usually thoroughly enjoys. That tantrum was followed by another when she wanted her breakfast right away instead of waiting until we got in the car in our usual Friday morning rush as I was running out the door to teach.
I finally got to Brown and left her with Felix while I went to the JCC to teach. Felix said she was a perfect angel with him.
"look mom, no more rash!"
So after teaching, we came home and had some friends over to play. Emma was loving life.....and since then, she has been back to her normal self. It is SO refreshing!
Oh, I can't even tell you how nice it is to have her back to herself. She is smiley, giggly, creative, wanting to play with all her toys and can entertain herself. And my favorite part is her little conversations she has with me- now that she isn't with her binky in her mouth 24/7, she is back to her old chatty self.
We had a great day together- ahhh, Emma my love, how I missed you this past week!
