Gainesville Visit

Emma & I had a wonderful trip to Gainesville to visit with Cat, Charlie, Audrey, Gina, Sable & Ruby (and Phillip who was working the whole time was in our thoughts!)!!

Catherine & I have been friends since 7th grade. We were even roommates all through college and grad school- here we are graduating undergrad at UF in 2002.

....and here today, 7 years later! Charlie watched the kids so we could have a girls night out! We really got crazy in our old college town.... a big night out for ice cream! woohoo!!! Hey, I like to say- you have to set priorities when you have limited evenings out, and if we only have one night, then ice cream it is! We even got to meet up with my friend Gina which was a special treat- it was just so so nice to catch up and see everyone.

We took the babies for walks in the morning together. Here they are holding hands!!!

car seat buddies..

Audrey really liked to sit in Emma's lap. I think Emma was a little confused when Audrey tried it the first time.
Georgie. A favorite of BOTH the girls- although, our dog Matti ate the eyes off of Emma's at home (which Audrey gave to her).

"check out all these toys mama!"
kisses. Emma really getting into the moment with and even closing her eyes.
Meal time together

Cat & Charlie have a baby Emma too! She loved to snuggle up with me - much bigger than my little Matti at home!!!! I felt like it was another human lying on me!

Playing in the water fountains after dinner

Audrey realy loves her princess chair- although Emma kept trying to sit in it, Audrey quickly let her know not to. So we made a chair for Emma out of pillows and they sat next to each other hand in hand.

I think Emma tried to sit in the chair one too many times..... here she is crawling away and Audrey is trying to drop the chair on top of her.

Best buds playing in the mall.

Storytime

Cat had to run out for a few minutes one morning, so I watched the kids alone. Audrey was a bit sad, and Emma.... well.... there was a plate of waffles on the floor, so she was in heaven.

eventually, Audrey cheered up a bit, walked over to me with a book and sat in my lap. I had to capture the moment!
We had such a great time. It is so nice to be able to visit as often as we do, and to watch our kids become buddies.

You look younger now than you do in the grad picture.

Love all the pics, esp the b&w of Ava and Emma.
