A WARNING FOR ALL THE BEES OUT THERE!

This is the evil bee that was flying around inside my house this afternoon (of course, while Felix was out of town). After tormenting me for almost an hour buzzing around and around me as I sat, shaking on the couch, armed with a fly swatter, I decided to take action. I could hear my heartbeat as I waited for him to stay still on the window....and as soon he did, I sprayed the ENTIRE BOTTLE of "flying insect" spray on him.

He must now suffer the consequences and lie dead on my window sill- a warning for all his friends who dare try and enter my house.

Speaking of bees...... I spent all day yesterday painting the blue trim of our house- white. As you can see, I only got the parts I could reach with the short ladder, which include the door on the left & right of the house, all lower level windows, and the lower level trim. The part of the trim that is half blue & half white is where the bees nest was, and the bees kept flying all around me while I was balancing on the top of the ladder- so I thought it best to get down and leave the "dangerous" painting for the pros.
BEFORE FELIX POWER WASHED THE HOUSE.........

AFTER! WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!!!!!!!

I was testing out different shades of yellow to paint the shingles- but after power washing the entire house, we are choosing to stick with the natural cedar shingles and only paint the trim white- plus put up our black shutters. So now, I need to figure out how to get rid of my three sample color swatches I painted on!!! Paint thinner and remover is not working- we either have to sand the color off, or replace the shingles. Big whoops on my part!

I hope to have the house finished by the end of the month- pictures to come!!! Slowly but surely, we are fixin' up this fixer upper!!!!
