Memorial Day Fun!

We had a great Memorial Day together- I couldn't have asked for a better day. Felix was home all day with us, and we had many visitors! Felix started the day by mowing the lawn and fixing up the grill while Emma & I enjoyed a nice walk around the lake (I know, I am VERY spoiled during the "off" season when Felix is home so much!).
Then, Carrie & Whit came to visit- we are hoping Carrie moves closer soon- it would be so so fun. Emma seriously LOVED her. I've never seen Emma play with someone other than me or Felix the way she did with Carrie. She was climbing all over her and would do things to be silly with her. It was so cute to see.


It was really nice to see them again- too bad we didn't get any more pictures of all of us together. Carrie & Whit could only stay for a short while, but then Kristy & Matt came over for a lunch BBQ of burgers and then we grilled AGAIN with our neighbors- a delicious dinner of chicken & steak kabobs, and grilled corn. It was a bit of a challenge to make the kabobs since Felix doesn't like onions, and our guests don't like peppers. What else do you put on a kabob with the meat? Well.... we had zucchini, mushrooms, and tomatoes. DEELICIOUS. I have to say I was surprised that we were able to have 2 bbqs in one day. My favorite thing to do!! And we even used our new outdoor table (my trash to treasure find). We figure that we have used the table 3 times already- so we are satisfied with our purchase, even if we never use it again!

Emma's new toy! She absolutely LOVES this toy we got from a friend of ours. She thinks it is hilarious to crawl through the hanging chimes or the hanging curtain (seen on the left side of the toy)- and even MORE hilarious when we stick our head through it.

We love that she is such a smiley little baby. Very few are privileged enough to see Emma's "bed head". Enjoy these rare shots of her morning 'do!
