and starting to get a little fiesty!
"show me your tongue"
......getting bored with the photo shoot
Enjoying some morning time together- I always have my buddies by my side! Emma seemed really intrigued with Sid the Science Kid that morning!
I take Emma to the mall once a week and we meet up with some friends and play in the kidzone. Here is Emma in the little playhouse- her friend is peeking at her behind the tunnel.
Here is her friend Declan and his mom. Already pulling her pig tails.... boys will be boys!!
AND THIS.......
is why we practice sign language! She gets quite frustrated when she cannot communicate what she wants, so she simply opens her mouth and just lets out a scream, and usually a little shake. This scream means "I WANT THAT CAMERA!"
So I have really been focusing on teaching her signs- and so far, she has mastered "more", "eat", and "milk". I also made on up for "help" and "play", and she seems to do those as well.
Some other skills we have been working on:
- Giving hugs- SO CUTE! If we give her a teddy and say "hug" she squeezes it tight and rocks back and forth.
- Points to her belly when asked where it is
- Blows kisses
- Waves hello and goodbye
- Sticks out her tongue when we ask
- Crawls over to the stairs and says "tee tee" (brush teeth) when we say, "Emma, ready for night night?". Then she climbs the stairs with our help and we do our bedtime routine.
- Helps me brush her teeth, and even rinses her toothbrush in the water
- Picks up a cell phone and holds it near her ear and says "dah dah"
- Puts her head down on a pillow if we ask her to (then she does it for attention because she is just so darn cute and she knows it!)
- When we say "Emma, want to walk?" she crawls over to her push toy and walks all over the house with it- even moving it out of corners when she gets stuck.
- She says "stuh" for stuck.
- Other words she has mastered: dog (dah), banana (anana), dah dah, duck (duh)
