A Special Moment

I'll share a sweet story about the toe-sucking. Steph & Roger had been living in Boston for a few years when I moved out here in July. Almost 1 year later, Gavin was born in April and they moved back to FL in September. I was so happy to be living here with them when he was born, I went over all the time and got to watch baby Gavin grow. When Roger got a job in FL and it was official they were moving, I cried everytime I went to visit because I was so sad they were leaving.
The last night I went to visit & say goodbye (they were leaving in the morning) Steph was changing Gavin's diaper, and he put his toes in his mouth. I had never seen a baby do that before and thought it was so cute (and was so sad to think of all the other things I would be missing). I still have tears come to my eyes when I think about the night I had to say goodbye- it was very hard for me. Luckily I had little Matti Watkins to keep me company in my studio apartment all alone.

So, when Emma finally got her little toes in her mouth I was so happy - it sadly reminded me of when Steph & Roger moved back home, but it also made me happy because I now get to experience all these wonderful moments with my own little girl.

.....going in for seconds...

Emma has started blowing raspberries in the air. I dont know where these babies come up with these things!

My friend made this onesie for Emma- she dyed it purple :), and ironed on the little flowers. How cute is that!
