Little Em has kept me on my toes recently. After having a constant disgusting runny nose for about a week, she has now decided if it is after 5pm, she does not like it if I put her down to play alone with her toys. I don't know why, perhaps she is tired but does not want to sleep, but everyday without fail, when the clock hits 5pm... she is Ms.Clingy.
So- after a day full of play, at 5pm I count the hours until Daddy comes home to help entertain our little munchkin at 7:30pm. Unfortunately, sometimes only Mommy will make her happy......so we have become a bit creative lately!

Today I took Emma to the park near our house and while she was strapped on me, I sat on the swing and went swinging with her. I think she liked it! It is just getting so cold outside lately and it gets dark at 5pm, so I really have to plan our outdoor activities to be earlier in the day and be sure to dress her appropriately! Yesterday I took her to a different park but didn't really dress her warm enough and she just cried the whole time. I'm learning I tell you...... I'm learning!!!!

Being a stay at home mom has its perks- besides the obvious of being able to be with my baby all day, I have been able to try some new things that I never had time for! Today I made "friendship bread"- Felix said it tastes dry.... but I dont really know what it is supposed to taste like. It started from a bag of starter dough that a friend gave me (hence the name), and then after about 10 days of letting it sit and putting in some ingredients- I cook it and wahlah...bread! I used Splenda instead of sugar, and added chocolate chips- so maybe that has some effect on the taste?

This past weekend Emma & I went to MIT to watch Felix and his team play in a tournament. Emma and I got to go for a nice walk along the Charles River- it was nice to do that since I hadn't been there in a long time, I love that walk. It was so windy and cold though that it felt like I was walking with a parachute as I was pushing the stroller.
Here she is posing with Daddy before the game. Notice her cute little socks that look like sneakers! My little fashonista.....always hot & sweaty on that pool deck!

This little boy in the yellow robe was so mesmerized watching the water polo game- his father kept trying to pull him into the locker room to go home but he wouldn't budge. The little boy would hold up his arms as if he was shooting the ball when the team was trying to make a shot - here he is jumping in celebration after someone scored a goal. He reminded me of a little baby Felix.

Let's not forget my first child.... oh my sweet love. Still FULL of energy!

I thought I would try out the high chair (thanks for the tip Cat!). Emma seemed to like it, and it keeps her busy while we are eating dinner! She was throwing (or dropping) her toys off, so we now attach them to her seat straps- seems to work so far. Can't wait to see what she does when we give her food instead of toys! I think I will invest in some plastic floor covers!

I have given up on the hair bows for a while. We like the "wash n' wear" look!

teeny tiny toes - but she sure has her Daddy's feet!
