Who said I didn't marry a handy-man!??

Our Master Bathroom- what a project this has been! How hard could a tiny little 60 square foot room be??? When we bought the house we knew we had to work on the master bathroom because the shower was rotten and broken and the vanity had mildew inside. Once we removed the shower and vanity we realized we needed to replace the vinyl tiles since a)they stunk like bad dog pee b)the entire floor wasn't tiled, so the smaller vanity that we were installing left untiled floor exposed.
Well, were supposed to have the entire bathroom done 2 weeks ago, but our contractor went MIA for a while after he gutted the bathroom and laid down tile. So, Felix loves me and my pregnant bladder enough that he grouted our newly laid tile himself and installed a toilet for me so I wouldn't have to trek upstairs at 3am for my usual bathroom run. What a handy-man I have!!!!! While I was so so proud of him, he made it very clear to me that he DOES NOT enjoy doing handy-man work. Too bad, because as new homeowners, he is going to have to get used to it! Here is a shot of the toilet a few days before the shower got installed.
After STILL not hearing from our contractor, Felix then hired a separate plumber to install our shower, but under false promises, he later found out the plumber would install the shower but not the shower doors. So fortunately, after making about 2 calls every hour for the past 5 days to our "MIA" contractor, Felix found him just in time to install the shower doors. The first thing Felix did when he got home from work tonight was go straight to his new shower. Never have I loved a bathroom so much (even though there is still no vanity, doors, and the walls are yet to be finished)!!! It's too bad you can't see the smile on his face... he was singing away!!!!!!

I look forward to posting the pictures of our finished bathroom........soon..... cross your fingers!
