Oh... the fun is just beginning!!!

Gavin & Ava eating on their "high chairs".... I didnt have anywhere for them to sit and eat in our house, so we brought out bed trays on the floor and they worked pretty well!
Ava testing out the new baby's carseat. I didnt mean to cut off Gavins head in the pic! I'm sure he was standing proudly saying "cheeeeeeeeeeese"
The guest room. Blankets on the floor to protect their feet from the dirty wood, no curtains, no doors... but it worked!
Play time!!! Gavin loved to shovel the snow!
Matti stayed in his part of the backyard but Ava went over to say hello.
This past week Steph, Gavin, & Ava came up to Boston to visit and play in the snow. They came in on Sunday evening and spent the first 2 days with friends while I was at work. Then on Wednesday & Thursday we had full days together! We went shopping for the new baby on Wednesday and then on Thursday spent the day at the Childrens Museum, Harvard Square, and dinner with some friends. They were very very cute, lots of fun, and lots of noise! I got a good taste of what to expect 4 years from now!!
Steph was great, she took me to http://www.babiesrus.com/ and http://www.target.com/ to register for our new baby girl... and showed me all the necessities and what I was supposed to do with all of them! I had originally thought I was dead set on a chocolate brown & pink theme for the baby's room, but when I found some shabby chic baby bedding, I knew it was the perfect style for this shabby chic momma's little girl!!! Steph also instructed me that it doesnt matter what it looks like- it matters if it functions well! So, I got the full tutorial on high chairs, swings, and jumperoos before I was allowed to fall in love with a certain design. That being said..... I still haven't found a crib or furniture for the baby, but we have plenty of time. Then she even came with me to Lowe's to pick out a vanity, faucets, & lighting for the bathroom & knobs for our kitchen. These shopping trips were a bit more stressful than usual with 2 toddlers in tow, but I am so glad she was here to help- and Gavin had some wonderful choices in sink faucets and knobs, and was extremely helpful at the baby stores telling me what he has and what Ava has!
Unfortunately, the "guest room" in the house was not quite ready before their arrival. Still missing finished walls, floors, and a door- we were able to make it work and the kids still seemed to have fun. I thought I would welcome the peace and quiet when everyone left, but I find myself all alone at home with Matti and I miss the chaos!!!
