You may remember when I first wrote about the house, I said one of my favorite rooms was the upstairs bathroom with the clawfoot tub. Well, Monday night Felix called me while I was driving home to tell me that the feet on our clawfoot tub had broken off......
In an attempt to fix the tub, our contractor and Felix tried to level it up with cinderblocks and proceeded to run the water to see if it worked. Steph & I were downstairs in the living room and looked over to see it literally raining inside the house! We quickly grabbed towels and containers to catch the water. Apparently the drain pipe broke when the tub fell and was now leaking through the ceiling. We had to take down the 'too old to be replaced' ceiling tiles in order to find the leak and fix it. Here is a shot of our beautiful new ceiling. Fortunately, the ceiling tiles were nailed back up (for now....)
And now, our beautiful tub until we replace it with a regular wall base tub/shower in a few years! Who wants to come & visit???!!!!!!!
Here is a random picture of Matti- this was our 3rd night in the house, and our 1st night we slept in our bedroom. Matti seemed to take a bit longer to adjust and insisted on sleeping UNDER the bed that night until I literally dragged him out by his front paws and threw him in bed with us.
