And So It Begins...........

Well, the time of year has finally come. Water Polo Season. Felix is out of town this weekend in Vegas for a water polo game, leaving me & Matti alone and bored. We slept in this morning until 9:30am (which is quite late for me and my little hyperactive dog), then decided to stay in bed till about noon until Matti pulled the blinds down off the window and broke them. So I decided it was time to take him outside to the park for a while. It was very exciting. Now we are back home and bored yet again. Tomorrow I may drive down south to see open houses in neighborhoods we may move to, so that should keep me busy for a while!!

Quality time together at the park.....

Bad Doggie

This is what Matti likes to do if he thinks I am going to put him in his cage. Even though he likes being in his cage....... I just dont understand this little monster.

Nurse Jill

Last night I was walking Matti, and he started limping and hopping- lifting his back left leg up. I grabbed his leg to see what was wrong and there was a bee on him! So I flicked the bee off- but Matti kept limping afterwards.
I carried him back down the street and inside the house, but he wouldn't let me touch his foot- he kept growling and biting at me. Finally, I dunked his foot in a bowl of hot water, and sure enough, once his hair was all wet- you could see the bee stinger lodged in one of his little toes! Once Felix got home, we put Matti on the operating table, Felix held Matti's face so he wouldnt bite me, and I took my little tweezers and pulled out the stinger. Matti bled a teeny bit, but was immediately better and able to walk again!!!!! Who knew I was such a surgeon!!!!

Blueberry Picking

On Saturday we went down to the Tougas Family Farm to pick blueberries & raspberries. I had never done it before- it was so fun! Well.... picking the blueberries was fun. Below are pics of Felix digging in the trees to get the good ones. They were so big and sweet, and easy to see and pull off. We picked 6.5lbs of them!!
The hard part was picking the raspberries- we were only allowed to pick by the pint, and there were not that many available, and you had to look through the short bushes and under the leaves, and there were lots of bees buzzing around as you stuck your hands in there. I managed to pick enuf to fill up my pint and then was outta there!!!
We have so many blueberries, I love it! You can just scoop them up out of the bowl by the handfull- and they are delicious. I hope we can eat them all before they go bad.

New York, New YOOOOOOOOrk... I wanna wake up....

Mom, Dad & Jackie were up in NY for a wedding, so Felix & I drove down to visit them and we all had a slumber party at Uncle & Aunt Audreys NYC apartment- even Keith came to visit. We even got to visit Michelle & her new studio in the city. While it was hot walking around, we went with Michelle to a delicious diner called "good enuf to eat".... it was fun. Then we hung out with the fam and had a home cooked meal for dinner, meatloaf & spaghetti! It's been a looooooong time since I've had meatloaf, but it was delicious. We didnt get to see much of the city, but hanging out with the family was great.
